In order to ensure USA classes are providing a controlled athlete-to-coach ratio, and ensure your athletes are maintaining consistency, while being able to take advantage of our class offerings, we will be implementing the following changes to our classes:

CLASS SIZES ARE LIMITED.

Please take a moment to view our Safety Guidelines before visiting the gym. You must have a current USA Allstars Waiver & Liability Release on file to attend classes.

 

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

TINY TUMBLE
Beginner class for ages 6 and under. Begin learning basics to tumbling such as forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, bridge kick-overs, etc. We will begin progressions to back and front walkovers after mastery of basics.
Requirement: Must be 6 years old or younger.

BEGINNER LEVEL 1
We will focus on drills and progressions for forward and backwards rolls, cartwheels, handstands and round-offs.
Requirement: Must be 7 years old or older.

ADVANCED LEVEL 1
This class will build upon the skills mastered in Level 1 Beginner tumbling.  We will focus on power hurdle round off, tumbling connections, front and back walkovers, and combination tumbling passes.
Requirement: Must demonstrate a sense of body control and successfully execute Level 1 Beginner skills.

BACK HANDSPRING
We will focus on drills and progressions for learning standing and round-off back handsprings. We will also focus on learning and perfecting skills such as standing back handspring, round-off back handspring, and back walkover back handspring.
Requirement: Must demonstrate mastery of front-walkover, back-walkover, and round-off with a rebound.

LEVEL 2
Athletes are becoming more body aware and should be starting to work body shaping for more intricate tumbling passes.  This class will focus on standing handsprings, round-off back handsprings, handstand snap downs, dive rolls, front handsprings, round-off multiple handsprings, and variety tumbling passes (front walkover through bounce backs, etc.)
Requirement: Athletes should have progressed from Level 1 Advanced and back handspring class.

LEVEL 3
Athletes will begin to explore air flipping skills that require a great deal of body control.  Skills this class will focus on are: aerials, punch fronts, round-off handsprings tucks, standing multiple handsprings, jump to back handspring.
Requirement: Must demonstrate a strong sense of body awareness before attempting level 3 tumbling to ensure their safety.  Athletes must have mastered Level 2 and below skills.

LEVEL 4
Athletes will begin to advance to more complex air flipping skills.  Body shaping is vital, so the athlete can comprehend what they should feel while in the middle of their tricks.  Skills that will be focused on are: standing tucks, punch front, layouts, standing back handspring to tuck, combination passes through to a layout (whips front walkover etc.)
Requirement: Mastery of all lower level tumbling.

LEVEL 5 & 6
Advanced tumbling skills that will be focused on: jump to tuck, half twisting, full twisting, double twisting, arabian, standing full, standing handspring to full/double, and different combination through to twist.
Requirement: Must have approval from a USA Allstars coach to attend this class.  Body control is crucial.

HIGH SCHOOL TUMBLE
This class focuses on all tumbling for high school aged athletes.
Requirement: High School Aged Athlete.

JUMP CLASS
Jump class is for perfecting technique in all aspects of jumps. We will work on various drills to help with height, flexibility, and power in jumps.  This class will focus on proper stretching technique and extensive strength training.  In addition, this class will train proper arm and leg placement to perform each jump correctly.  This class will focus on the following jumps: toe touch, pike, hurdler, combination jumps and jumps into tumbling.
Requirement: No prerequisite

STRETCH / FLYER FLEX 
This class will focus on proper technique in stretching the right, left and middle splits, proper back flexibility, and proper shoulder flexibility.  Body positions from the liberty, scorpion, scale, heel stretch, front stretch, bow needle and arabesque will also be taught.
Requirement: No prerequisite

HIP HOP DANCE
Athletes will learn relevant hip hop technique and choreography, while continuing to develop hip hop movement quality and style on the intermediate level.  Dancers will be challenged to pick up new choreography weekly and perform it with confidence while working up a sweat and having fun.  They will improve balance, increase memory and strength by staying grounded and strong through combining upper and lower body movement, and will take their skills to the next level.
